Interested in applying to graduate programs in psychology and law? Download the "Guide to Graduate Programs in Forensic and Legal Psychology" below!
The Guide to Graduate Programs in Forensic and Legal Psychology, now in its 7th edition, seeks to provide a comprehensive resource for prospective students interested in furthering their graduate training and education in psychology and law. Current graduate programs in forensic psychology and legal psychology are listed alphabetically by degree type: doctoral programs (Ph.D. and Psy.D.), joint programs (Ph.D./J.D., Psy.D./J.D., J.D./M.A., Ph.D./M.L.S.), and masters-level programs. Each program is then described using the same categories, including sections on department information, student applications/admissions, financial information/assistance, research, internship/Practicum, employment of department graduates, and any other additional information available. All information (or lack thereof) was reported by the school themselves and was not gleaned by the originators of this guide from publicly available sources.
The current iteration of this guide was updated and revised during summer 2025 as part of an ongoing Initiative of the AP-LS TTC Committee. Most credit is due to Minqi “Will” Pan (TTC subcommittee chair of awards), who completed this revision. Members of the TTC also reviewed this guide and provided edits.
Any questions, edits regarding the guide itself, or any schools that would like to be included in the guide can email the TTC Committee at [email protected] or the dedicated email address at [email protected].
