The American Psychology-Law Society (AP-LS) is an interdisciplinary organization devoted to scholarship, practice, and public service in psychology and law. It functions as both a free-standing organization as well as a division (Division 41) of the American Psychological Association (APA).

Who we are
The AP-LS Student Committee is comprised of ten elected officers who are current graduate students in the field of psychology and law. The Student Committee consists of a Chair, Chair-Elect, immediate Past-Chair, Secretary, Communications Officer, Campus Representative Coordinator, and four Members-at-Large: a Clinical Liaison, an Experimental Liaison, a Law Liaison and a Diversity Liaison.

Our Mission
The Student Committee works to advance the interests of Student Affiliates within the AP-LS, and division 41, including by enhancing communication among Student Affiliates and between Student Affiliates and other members in the Society, enhancing the participation of Student Affiliates in Society affairs, and generally advancing the professional development of Student Affiliates.

What we do
Officers of the Student Committee work on a variety of projects and initiatives throughout the year including but not limited to:

- developing student oriented programming for the Society's annual conference, the annual APA convention, and throughout the year
- creating and disseminating resources related to professional development, teaching, research, practice, and other topics relevant to our student membership
- maintaining guides and databases with information about applying to graduate programs, predoctoral internships, and postdoctoral fellowships in law and psychology
- communicating with undergraduate, graduate, and law students about funding opportunities, networking events, and other information related to the field of law and psychology
- connect undergraduate and graduate students across the country
